Shape Your Future
Personality :
Very reserved about his real past, when asked often just saying he left his family to hone his skills. He doesnt mind being alone, but prefers being around people. Hes very competent on the battle field, except when hes thrust into a leadership roll. He likes being in the spotlight, except when he would have to lead people in anyway. He cant stand the idea of his choices hurting people.
He has a fear of corpses, but only when theyre in decay. When he sees one he usually vomits or passes out. He has a distinct sense of honor, due to his rearing, and had always wanted to be a Crimean Guard like his father, but cant bring himself to go back to Crimea. Since he first came to Galia, he was amazed with Laguz and holds a deep respect for them.
History :
Cedric grew up in a forested area in Crimea alone with his parents and older sister Marie. His father was a retired guard at the Crimean Palace, and taught him various things about being a guard, soldier, and an honorable man. Because they didnt tend any animals, except a few horses, they hunted wild game. They sometimes would sell some of the things killed at towns around the castle. Cedric would normally hunt by himself, trying to improve his archery.
When he was thirteen his sister seemed to contract a small cold, with a handful of strange symptoms. A few weeks after the symptoms died down, she became completely bedridden, unable to keep down small amounts of food and usually disoriented. Scared of getting it himself, he avoided spending almost no time in his house, even going as far as to sleep outside. After about three months his father started to get the same strange cold his sister started with. He took it upon himself to travel to the palace to hopefully find a scholar or doctor who knows how to cure his family. Finally bringing up enough courage to see his sister before he rides off, he went into her room. Seeing only the already decaying flesh of her arm he promptly charged outside and passed out.
Making quick time to the castle, he found no one who knew anything relevant about the disease plaguing his family. A few had heard of something similar that had once been seen in Gallia. He began his journey as soon as he could, by the time he made it to the capital he knew his sister was already lost and his father was already bedridden. He spent as much time as he could trying to learn about the disease, but couldnt find anything there. Giving up (failing) on his self imposed mission, he couldnt even bring himself to return to his home. The next few years hes spent doing random jobs for money, mostly as a mercenary, not knowing if his father or sister could possibly be alive.

There it stands, a good forty yards away. An easy target, Cedric thought to himself. Off his horse to better mask into the surroundings, he revealed himself from behind a tree. In the small clearing ahead lie a rabbit, not something that would make a magnificent meal, but a decent one. He knew that much larger of an animal would take too long to clean, and he had no salts to preserve the extra meat. This will have to do, he thought as the string was released from his fingers. The rabbit was hit, but managed to scamper a few feet before it stopped moving. Cedric walked over to reclaim his prey.

Comments
Gosh, the poor guy. Disease following his dad and sister. : < I'm guessing his mother's taking care of the dad then?
--
"Such a lonely little boy. Lonely then and lonelier now."
Well, if it ends in death like he believes, then chances are his mother's caught it too and died around a year before... I haven't really thought that far ahead into his development, since he's avoided his country for three years he doesn't know their fate.
